Queens

Some loose thoughts:

- I've been in NY for a week. Themes for the week: walking around in the wet, hot heat and eating big dinners.

- I miss Oregon and I'm sad that I don't get to travel and ride bikes all day like it's my job. On the other hand, this is the beginning of the Next Big Thing in my life.

- Every time I switch trains under Times Square I'm glad that it's not my job to sell magazines and sodas on the platform. It's so hot and most people listen to ipods and wear flip flops. Did you notice when it became awkward to call them thongs?

- The Cannondale caught up to me at Penn Station. Last night it got to ride around Prospect Park. Now it will start its new life commuting around Flushing.

- Flushing is pretty cool. I'm probably going to eat a lot of noodles and get a Mets tattoo. You know, you do what you can to get by.

- The Big Boi album is nasty. Bad Girls Miami is Nasty. Fito Paez and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs is the soundtrack.

- From travel blog to Serious Thoughts blog to bullet points. We've come a long way, baby. I'm not quite tempted to summarize the last seven months- there are too many feelings involved for the internet to handle. So I suppose we'll just have to see where this whole thing is headed.
