I´m writing from Huaraz, the principal city up in the mountains of Ancash. It´s an hour and change by bus from Yungay. From Yungay, 20-30 minutes by foot to Mazac. Mazac is where I lived and where I´m staying. It´s also the setting for the following videos, filmed at my family´s home, with my godson. He was born Lenin Shubet Barroso Huanri on April 18, 2001. His father explains that he was named for the musician, John Lenin, of los Bitles. I call him Shubi.
